Where to start with Warhammer in the UK

Short answer

Pick the game by the setting you'd rather paint: Warhammer 40,000 and Kill Team are science fiction, Age of Sigmar and The Old World are fantasy. For Warhammer 40,000, buy a Combat Patrol, or the Starter Set if there are two of you. For Age of Sigmar, buy a Spearhead box, and for something small and quick, the Kill Team Starter Set.

Paints and tools can wait until the first kit is built.
