Night Lords Combat Patrol: what is in the box and what to add next

Game facts checked 29 October 2026. Price and stock are read live.

Short answer

The Night Lords Combat Patrol holds 17 miniatures. They are a Chaos Lord with a jump pack, five Chosen, ten Legionaries and a Chaos Rhino. The Legionaries come with the Night Lords upgrade sprue from the Nemesis Claw kill team. Our price is £82.95 (RRP £105.00) and the box is sold out at the moment.

It is a good start if you want close-range Chaos Space Marines with a themed look. It is not a full Night Lords army on its own. The Night Lords-style rules favour flying infantry, and the box has only one, the jump-pack Lord.

Unit by unit

Games Workshop's news site, Warhammer Community, previewed the box on 23 February 2026, before the 11th edition started.

Why the Nemesis Claw box matters

The Night Lords-themed upgrade sprue in this box is the one from the Nemesis Claw kill team. The winged helmets come from it. The article calls them probably the most Night Lords thing in the box.

If you like the look and want more of it, the Nemesis Claw kill team is in stock. The two together cost £121.66 here. The article also says this box has the miniatures for a full kill team. That lets you try Kill Team, the skirmish game, from the same purchase.

What the box does not do on its own

A Warhammer Community preview on 8 May 2026 covered the 11th edition Chaos Space Marines detachments, which are sets of army rules. The preview includes Murdertalon Raiders, which it describes as Night Lords-themed. That detachment rewards infantry that can fly. The article names Warp Talons and Raptors, plus an enhancement for a Chaos Lord with a jump pack.

The box gives you the jump-pack Lord. It does not give you Raptors or Warp Talons, and we do not list either kit. The Legionaries, Chosen and Rhino are ground units.

Another Lord with Jump Pack would give you a second flier, and that kit is sold out at the moment.

A short shopping list

  1. Build the Legionaries and Chosen first, using the Night Lords sprue, so the squads read as one force.
  2. Add squads before showpieces. The Havocs kit adds ranged support and is sold out at the moment. The Chosen kit is in stock.
  3. Look this box up in the Combat Patrol section of the Warhammer 40,000 app before you buy extra kits. Launch support started with the core boxes, and Games Workshop did not say which those are. Our app page explains what is free.

Common questions

What is in the Night Lords Combat Patrol?

A Chaos Lord with a jump pack, five Chosen, ten Legionaries and a Chaos Rhino, 17 miniatures in all. The Legionaries use the Night Lords upgrade sprue from the Nemesis Claw kill team, which adds winged helmets and other Night Lords details.

Is the Night Lords Combat Patrol the same as the Nemesis Claw kill team?

They are separate boxes. The Combat Patrol borrows the Night Lords upgrade sprue from the Nemesis Claw kill team, so the models share a look. The article also says the Combat Patrol has enough models to make a full kill team.

Should I buy Night Lords or the standard Chaos Space Marines box?

Buy Night Lords if you want the look and close-range units. Buy the standard box, which is £86.11, if you want more models: it has 26 miniatures against 17, including Cultists and Possessed.
