- Read the team's rules first. Games Workshop publishes every team's rules free online, so you can see how a team plays before you spend anything.
- Check what one box builds. One box usually builds at least one legal team. Building every option can need a second box, so look at the operatives you want before you commit.
- Know how long a team stays on sale. Games Workshop said each team stays in the range for four full seasons, and seasons generally last 12 months. A box you love can leave the range and become hard to find, though the team stays playable and keeps getting rules updates until the edition ends. If one team is your favourite, buy it while it is listed.
